Shopping We undertake shopping and prescription collection for the household. We will also escort clients who wish to do their own shopping. What is Morecare? Morecare is a registered charity that provides a range of services to the patients of the Moretonhampstead Health Centre and Hospital.   What does Morecare do? The Services we offer include:   Prescription collection Befriending Dog walking Carer support Transport Sitting Listening   We rely entirely upon the generosity of volunteers to offer these services. The more volunteers we have, the better and broader service we will try to provide. Transport We provide transport within the town for visits to the doctor, dentist etc. for hospital appointments and also for visits to sick relatives in hospital and nursing homes.   All drivers have an envelope in their cars for your contribution.   The following gives an idea of the contributions we would hope to receive for hospital visits: Local £3 Chagford, Bovey Tracey £6 Exeter, Okehampton £12 Torbay £15 Plymouth £25 Friendly Visits Morecare volunteers will make regular friendly visits to people living alone to chat, make cups of tea – or just listen.   Our volunteers will also take dogs for walks, take clients for wheelchair walks, keep an eye on elderly people if their family is on holiday, or sit with people to allow their carers to have a break.
